Guacamole took a trip through Chandni Chowk — spicy, tangy, crunchy and creamy, all in one quick bite! This Avocado Papdi Chaat is a refreshing upgrade to the traditional version.

Skip the same old chaat platter and surprise with Avocado Papdi Chaat. Load crispy papdis with mashed avocado, toss in onions and tomatoes, and finish them with chutneys and sev. It tastes like guacamole took a trip through Chandni Chowk — spicy, tangy, crunchy and creamy, all in one quick bite! The avocado brings a smooth, buttery contrast to the crisp papdis, while imli and mint chutneys cut through with spice and tang. The balance of crunch, creaminess and bold flavour makes it an effortless yet impressive appetiser for any festive spread.

Tips for the Best Avocado Chaat

  • Use Just-Ripe Avocados: Too soft becomes mushy, too firm won’t mix well. It should yield slightly when pressed.
  • Don’t Over-Mash: Keep it slightly chunky for texture—like a desi guacamole.
  • Assemble Just Before Serving: Papadis can get soggy if left too long with the avocado mixture.
  • Balance the Flavours: If your imli chutney is very sweet, add a pinch of black salt or red chilli powder for contrast.

Storing Instructions (To Prevent Avocado from Darkening)

  • If prepping ahead, mix the avocado with extra lemon juice and press cling film directly onto the surface to block air contact.
  • Store without assembling. Refrigerate the avocado mix separately and add chutneys + papdis only when serving.
