This three ingredient Chia pudding is soo easy to make. Made with Milk, Chia seeds and sweetener. A perfect healthy snack, breakfast or dessert, rich in proteins and fiber.

It is so easy to make and so healthy and filling. Chia Pudding makes a great snack, breakfast and dessert. This chia pudding is made with just 3 ingredients – Milk (Of your choice), Chia Seeds and sweetener (of your choice). A snack that will leave you feeling satisfied and so energized.
You can make Chia pudding with almond milk, coconut milk (for vegan options)or any other milk of your choice. I made mine using regular milk.
You can add any fruit preserve (try my Black Plum preserve with ginger to go with this), chocolate, fresh fruits etc in place of sweetener. I topped my chia pudding with cranberries and walnuts and used cranberry sauce as a sweetener, layered in between chia pudding.
How to make Chia Pudding?
- Start with adding chia seeds to milk (any milk) in a bowl or mason jars directly.
- Add a sweetener of your choice to the milk. You can leave out the sweetener if you would prefer to sweeten the pudding with any fruits preserves or both later.
- Add chia seeds and stir well. The ratio that works best for the desired pudding consistency is 2 tablespoon of chia seeds for a cup of milk.
- Cover and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight or a minimum of three hours.
- The chia seeds will absorb the milk and swell up, giving a perfect pudding like consistency and hence obviously Chia pudding. Easy right???
- Once the chia pudding is ready, add your favourite fruit preserves, fresh fruits to top with, chocolate or anything you like.
Benefits of Chia Seeds/Pudding

Texture Tips for Perfect Chia Pudding
Getting the consistency right is key for a good chia pudding recipe.
- If it’s too thick → add a splash of milk
- If it’s too runny → add 1 teaspoon chia seeds and rest longer
The goal is a creamy, spoonable texture—not stiff or watery.
Must try Variations
Once you have the base right, this three ingredient chia pudding becomes incredibly versatile. Think of it as a blank canvas—you can take it in a dessert direction, keep it light and fruity, or even give it a subtle coffee kick for mornings.
- Chocolate Chia Pudding : Stir in 1 tablespoon cocoa powder along with a touch of extra sweetener. It turns rich, indulgent, and almost mousse-like—perfect when you want something that feels like dessert but still qualifies as a healthy chia pudding.
- Mango Chia Pudding : Top with fresh mango puree or juicy chunks. It adds natural sweetness and a bright, tropical flavour that works beautifully as a summer chia pudding breakfast.
- Coffee Chia Pudding : Replace a portion of the milk with freshly brewed coffee. The result is lightly bitter, aromatic, and ideal for those mornings when you want your breakfast and caffeine in one.
- Berry Chia Pudding : Layer with strawberries, blueberries, or a quick berry compote. The slight tartness cuts through the creaminess, making this one of the most balanced and refreshing chia pudding variations.
- Vanilla Almond Chia Pudding : Add a splash of vanilla extract and finish with toasted almonds. Simple, fragrant, and quietly elegant—this version leans classic but never boring.
Storing the Chia Pudding
Chia pudding can be stored in the refrigerator for upto 3 days in an airtight container. It is best to add preserves and other additions right before serving.
